🩺 Welfare & health
All-white cats are more often born deaf, and more so with blue eyes: in a UK study of white pedigree kittens, 22% with no blue eye, 44% with one and 50% with two were deaf. Hearing can be tested; a deaf cat can live well indoors. 📎 UK 2019 study · deafness in white pedigree cats
